UniChem Pharmacy Awards 2007

UniChem Ltd is pleased to announce the launch of the UniChem Pharmacy Awards 2007. The main award categories for 2007 remain unchanged from last year and are designed to recognise and reward those industry champions who are excelling through ‘service, trust, entrepreneurship, partnership and simplicity’ – the guiding principles of UniChem.

This year’s award ceremony takes place on 23 November at the Intercontinental Hotel, Hyde Park, London. UniChem is calling for independent pharmacists to put themselves in the frame for these coveted awards by entering one of the following categories:

  • Promotion of healthcare services within the community
  • Working in partnership as part of a community healthcare team
  • Enhancing the retail experience

In addition, UniChem is seeking entries to the prestigious Almus Patient Safety Award which recognises pharmacists who have made a real difference to the safety and welfare of patients, as well as shaping the future success of pharmacy.

There will also be an award presented to the ‘Overall Winner’ who has demonstrated all round exceptional standards in each of the categories entered, as well as an award for the Most supportive technician in community pharmacy.

Each category winner will receive an invitation to the glittering awards ceremony and gala dinner in November to accept a cash prize of £1,000. The overall winner will receive an additional grand prize of two tickets to the 2008 UniChem Convention.

Commenting on the UniChem Pharmacy Awards, Jeremy Main, Sales and Marketing Director at UniChem, says: “2007 is proving to be another eventful year for the profession and we are looking for entries that demonstrate a continued commitment to the changing face of pharmacy. This year’s award categories will again recognise the outstanding achievements of those pioneering pharmacists who have risen to the challenge and are making the most of the opportunities in this new era.”

The closing date for entries is 30 September. For further information and to obtain an entry pack, pharmacists are asked to speak to their UniChem Account Manager or contact UniChem on 0208 974 4040 (option 5). Alternatively they can email: awards@unichem.co.uk.
