your counter assistant: A Monthly Dose Of Retail
Training Specifically Designed For Community Pharmacy
UniChem has unveiled plans for an innovative new training
package for independent pharmacy. your counter assistant is a
modular training package for counter assistants, which offers pharmacists the
opportunity to enhance the therapy and product knowledge of their teams through
monthly training modules that can be delivered in just 30 minutes.
The modular format of your counter assistant means that
training can be delivered in short, easy to digest sessions that can be
incorporated within the running of the busy pharmacy environment. As well as
improving counter staff knowledge of pharmacy products and treatments, the
training modules offer useful tips on soft selling skills and retail best
practice. This can result in improved service and support for patients and
consumers.
Each pack contains five copies and support notes delivered on a monthly basis.
The monthly modules include useful tutor notes to facilitate the delivery of
training, as well as a Q&A self test of the contents and understanding
within each of the modules. The programme meets the requirements of the
community pharmacy contract by providing ongoing training and development.
Jeremy Main, Sales and Marketing Director, comments: “your counter assistant
is a package that has been developed based on a tried and tested concept used
within Alliance Boots. It provides excellent support and supplements a pharmacy
team’s healthcare training in a way that is easy to manage with a clear focus
on community pharmacy.”
your counter assistant will be launched in September 2007. The
package requires an annual subscription fee of £249 per pharmacy, however the
first 12 modules are being offered FREE to existing UniChem independent
pharmacy customers. For more information please contact UniChem on 0208 974
