UniChem Diabetes Screening Package in Association with Roche Diagnostics
UniChem Ltd is pleased to announce that its diabetes screening package for independent pharmacists, in association with Roche Diagnostics UK, will now be available on a long-term basis. The package was initially trialled in late 2006. Following an extremely successful uptake, UniChem is formally launching the offering from June 2007, at a price of £150 (including free training).
The package combines a Roche ‘Accu-Chek’ diabetes screening kit with a comprehensive service support system. This service support encompasses a Diabetes Screening Guide and free training from fully qualified and experienced ‘Accu-Chek’ sales representatives. A variety of promotional materials are also included free of charge, to assist pharmacists with encouraging customer uptake.
The screening programme aims to identify customers with possible elevated blood sugar levels. Patients can then be referred to a relevant healthcare professional for diagnosis. The added-value support being offered by UniChem is designed to save pharmacists valuable time and resource, by combining both product and service support in a single provision.
Commenting on the scheme, Jeremy Main, Sales and Marketing Director, UniChem, says: “We were delighted by the significant level of interest we had when we trialled this package back in November last year. UniChem believes that working with manufacturers such as Roche in this way, can assist pharmacists in providing valued healthcare services that will be of great benefit to patients.”
Customers can register their interest by contacting Tina James at UniChem on 0208 974 4022.
